The 1953 Thompson Sea Skiff was indeed found under a snow pile in Hell, Michigan. and was destined to the burn pile come springtime 2002. See the restoration by clicking on "1953 Thompson Sea Skiff" page.
Our intention is to develop a site which will provide hope and inspiration to those who have little or no wooden boat restoration experience. "Free" smaller boats in restorable condition are available and that's where we come in. We will publish suitable"Free" boats which can be completed in your garage or workshop at minimal cost. We hope to provide resources, tips, ideas, suggestions, etc. to make this more than just a rich man's hobby.
